Podiatry - The Benefits
Podiatry is the diagnosis and treatment of ailments of the foot and lower limb. A Podiatrist is a health care professional who is responsible for the examination, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and care of the foot and lower limb conditions.
Our Podiatrist/State Registered Chiropodist uses and prescribes a wide range of treatments including;
Podiatric Evaluation and Treatment
On your initial visit to the podiatrist you will be asked your full medical and surgical history. This will be followed by a physical examination and diagnostic tests, where appropriate. The podiatrist will then be able to give you a full explanation of your pain and discomfort. A treatment plan will then be set up in order to alleviate and prevent recurrence of the presenting symptoms.
Podiatry care and specialised biomechanical evaluations can be an important step in the rehabilitation and prevention of lower limb and lower back injuries.
